We love
Hard rock cafe. So much so that we have collect their glasses and their
tshirts. The food, atmosphere and service is generally very good. The best so
far I have received is in Prague to which I have forgotten his name now. When I
get good service I will tip well and basically let them know that they did a
great job. The worst has to be in Malacca.
Prague is
the largest HRC in Europe. We were seated on the second floor to which we could
look down on the bar. The waiter was patient with us. We were there with my
mother and son. They were both too busy taking pictures and what not. He then
took our order, went down to talk to my son when taking his order and was very
attentive throughout the night. He would ask us often if we needed refill which
I did several times and so did T.I. He asked if we wanted dessert and was helpful
to mum who in the end decided which one she wanted.
Malacca was
the worst. We came as a family. My brother and his family, maid, mum, T.I and I.
We were 6 adults and 4 kids. There were hardly anyone there as it was between
services and we wanted dessert. There were many servers who were free and
chatting around. Service was bad. We had several of them who served us, they
forgot our order, mixed it up, not attentive even though we wanted attention
and to order more items. When I got hold of one and told them of our missing
water ordered it was not given to us nor was it taken out from our final bill
by the server that I pointed missing items. With so I took the bill and
obviously complained of the service.
We have to
date been to Oslo, Gothenburg, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Prague and Copenhagen.
To which when we are in Oslo and Gothenburg, we end up either eating there or
having our desserts there. We love their chocolate brownie and from what we
have seen, they really need to standardize the size as Malacca was tiny
compared to Gothenburg huge portion.
