Denmark

The car needs to be serviced and we checked around and found out it will be cheaper to do it in Denmark. As you know we love to travel so it was not much of a consideration. We got hold of some cheap tickets and with our bonus points we end up paying NOK 38 with reserved seats. I hate boats and get seasick easily so I have to take medication for the trip and the medication is like sleeping pills for me.

Denmark is known for their food and bakery items. There was so many things I wanted to eat but I choose 2 things that I love. I bought chocolate scones and some strawberry cake that I had to give to T,I as it had a almond nutty after taste that I am not fond off. I do love the chocolate scones and bought several bags of it so that I can I can freeze it down. We realised that we should be doing our grocery shopping in Denmark since we can get cheap tickets easily from T.I's friend. These were bought at Bilka as we had time to kill.

We then had dinner at a nice cosy restaurant in Hirsthals. Restaurant Lilleheden had a variety of things to choose from and what was tempting me that day was the fish and chips. It was fresh and yummy and the ingredients were fresh. From what we gather it was a fishing town so the fish items was a good bet to take. The place was full but we managed to get a window table and get to see the view. It was a rainy day but it was still a quaint cosy town. During summer it is always full of people from Norway and other country as the ferry terminal goes to several places in different country. All in all it was a good trip. The sea was calm and we had a fun time looking around and finding out that we should visit here more often.
