38 and counting

At the age of 38 I have had left behind one long marriage. 18 years. I am soon embarking on my next marriage with someone who I consider my soulmate. So what has 38 years on this earth thought me?

Firstly never make plans in life. It wont happen. Example:
  • I plan not to marry, I was the one who married first.
  • I wanted to get an education. Here I am working as a purchaser and no paper qualification to my name (so people hard work can help you get places too so take note).
  • I told myself if I ever got divorced I want to a) turn lesbian b) if I were to remarry its due to money. As you can guess, T.I is neither a female nor rich
So what else have I learnt?
  • That I can cook and love food.
  • I am introverted and that I prefer to stay home and look at the walls then go out and meet people. I do love to travel but it means its me and T.I going to cafes and what not, experiencing life in a bigger city that we live in.
  • Kittens are cute but they turn into cats and its not easy to find a baby sitter (ditto with puppies).
  • Good food is easy to make when you know how to cook as the most simple dishes can be very yummy and comforting.
  • My hair gets oily when it gets rained on.
  • I love to write and chat with people. Way too much at times, these poor victims of mine.
  • I finally learnt to parallel park after I got a car with parking sensor. It was about time. Now I can park my station wagon without problem though I hate driving.
  • To make cheesecake that don’t crack when baking.
  •  I hate cleaning the house which is good that T.I don’t mind that being his contribution to the house front.

Things I cant figure out is how to stop my hair falling like mad. At this rate I will be bald before I turn 50. To get motivated and energy so that I can go to the gym. To knit and sew  as I do not have the patience. What people see in country music.

I am sure I will learn more as I am only half way in this roller coaster of a life.
